AGRI TRADER: Through The Ages

With some big changes coming in the next few months at AgriTrader HQ, and a new style magazine for our original West Wales edition, we're looking back at how things have changed over the years.

Established in 1986

Agri Trader was first published way back in 1986 in A4 size, with an eye catching red ink outer cover, and put together entirely by the company founder, Chris Davies.

Delivered to 6000 farmers in the county of Dyfed, the magazine was packed with local advertisers and featured a hand typed classified section.

Into the 90's

The 1990’s saw a new distinctive logo and a switch to a more compact A5 size, making it handy for readers to carry around for quick reference. With the beginnings of colour printing starting to creep into the magazine, we featured a different colour cover to make it easier to tell monthly editions apart.

The 00's & 10's

After the turn of the Millennium, and with over a million copies sent out, we took the plunge and went full colour, both inside and out.

With increasing demand, the magazine also went from 64 pages, all the way up to 128 pages!

Into the 20's

Moving into 2020 we redesigned the magazine and introduced a brand new logo, along with the launch of our website.

Now in May 2024 with a whopping 453 issues and 3 million copies since the magazine was first printed, and more demand than those little staples could hold together – we’ve made the switch to perfect binding and grown the magazine to 140 pages jam packed with any service a farmer could need!
