We offer a comprehensive portfolio of machinery including, Valtra Tractors, Horsch Drills, Cultivation & Sprayers, Master Driers, SIP Grassland, Solis Tractors, Larrington Trailers and much more.
Providing a personalised experience to every customer, we are able to support farmers from ground preparation and crop maintenance, through to harvest and onward sale.
At Edwards & Farmer Ltd, after-sales service is at the heart of what we do. Our highly skilled technicians are available to provide ongoing support, from routine maintenance to emergency repairs.

Here at E&F Ltd we have a team of 24 dedicated employees.

When was the business started, and by whom?
Founded in 1989 by two ambitious young engineers, Rupert Farmer and Robin Edwards, the business began as a dedicated service for maintaining, repairing, and servicing agricultural machinery. Starting from a modest location, the company has grown significantly over the past 35 years.
Following a buyout in 2021, Rupert and Christine Farmer assumed full ownership. The next generation of the family is now also actively involved in the business.
They celebrate a 16-year partnership with Valtra, as well as enduring relationships with Master Driers and Horsch. In 2021, they expanded further by moving into compact machinery, including a new partnership with Solis.

Ffurfiwyd y cwmni yn 1989 gan ddau ddyn uchelgeisiol, Rupert Farmer a Robin Edwards, gan ganolbwyntio ar drwsio peirannau amaethyddol. Mae’r cwmni bellach wedi tyfu tipyn dros y 35 mlynedd diwethaf.

How have things changed in the business during the past 35 years?
In the past 35 years we’ve grown from just 2 members of staff up to 24.
Another big change in the business is that we have a customer accessible shop supplying genuine and aftermarket parts, lubricants, merchandise and much more. These are all available to order online/over the phone or drop in and see our team.
We’re often promoting our latest deals and offers on our social media channels, so make sure you follow us to ensure you’re not missing these! YFC members also receive a 15% discount on selected products in our parts department!!!

What is the best thing about the brands you sell?
Valtra – The best thing about the Valtra tractor range is its versatility and customisation options. They are well known for reliability and durability, advanced technology, comfort and ergonomics
Horsch – One of the best things about Horsch equipment is its precision engineering and focus on innovative farming solutions. Their equipment, from cultivators to seed drills, are known for their durability and high performance in even the toughest conditions.
Solis – The best thing about the Solis tractor range is its affordability paired with robust performance. Cost-effectiveness, simplicity, durability and fuel efficiency are the hallmarks of their brand.

What is your unique selling point?
Our unique selling point at Edwards & Farmer Ltd lies in being a family-run business with a focus on personalised customer service, and our wealth of expertise in agricultural machinery.
We are passionate about supporting agriculture, and its importance in Shropshire and the surrounding counties.
This commitment is reflected in our dedication to nurturing new talent: one of our apprentices recently graduated top of his class, another is going into their second year, and we’re excited to be welcoming two enthusiastic apprentices into the fold this year. They’ll be lucky enough to be paired with two of our master techs, who will mentor them closely, helping us shape the next generation of skilled technicians.

Have you done any recent fundraising or anniversary celebrations?
We are incredibly proud to be a main sponsor of Shropshire Young Farmers’ Club (YFC), an organisation that holds a special place in the hearts of both our directors, along with many members of our team.
Growing up in the YFC movement has not only shaped us personally but also helped build strong ties within the local farming community.
Our partnership with Shropshire YFC goes beyond financial support—it’s about investing in the future of agriculture. Many of the young farmers involved in the YFC movement today will become the next generation of customers and partners in farming, and we are honoured to play a role in supporting their growth and success.

What's coming up for the business?
Now a successful 2024 show season has come to an end we are looking ahead to 2025. We will be attending many shows and events across the county, and look forward to seeing many of our customers there.
We are looking forward to the festive tractor runs and will be joining in on the festive cheer!
